We are a network of churches committed to sound doctrine. In essence, this means we all adhere to the 5 Solas of the Reformation, emphasize Expository Preaching, and uphold the Sufficiency of Scripture in Counseling (as defined by the Association of Certified Biblical Counselors).
Only conduct yourselves in a manner worthy of the gospel of Christ, so that whether I come and see you or remain absent, I will hear of you that you are standing firm in one spirit, with one mind striving together for the faith of the gospel (Philippians 1:27)
Our name is The Coalition of Christ-Exalting Churches. We aim to exalt the Lord Jesus Christ in our faith, hope, and love for one another. We strive to exalt Him in our preaching, singing, and counseling. Everything revolves around this central purpose.
The Church is the focal point of God's work in the world, so it's our focus too. We're not a para-church organization. We're an organization of churches, by churches, for churches.
Merriam-Webster defines a coalition as "a temporary alliance of distinct parties, persons, or states for joint action." We're not a denomination. Each church is independent. The Coalition neither exerts authority nor requires obligations from its members. However, we've all submitted to the authority of God's Word and call one another to walk worthy of our Lord.
Though independent, we long for mutual edification through one another's faith. We recognize that the challenges we face are best tackled together. We care for our own flocks and our fellow shepherds. We look out for each other, pray for each other, and learn from one another. We stay alert for ourselves and for each other. We are a Coalition.
We are like-minded in our common purpose to exalt Christ among His churches by intentionally working together for mutual edification and the advancement of the Gospel.
