Biblical Leadership is essential to the healthy function of the church. There are only two offices of Leadership in the Local Church - Elders and Deacons. These are men with different roles defined by scripture. These men are required to meet the qualifications laid out in 1 Timothy 3 and Titus 1.

Elders are given the primary task of the ministry of prayer and the Word of God. They are to pay close attention to themselves and to the flock. Elders set the direction and priorities.

Deacons primary role is to handle the logistics of the ministry according to the elders direction. This is to ensure that the needs of the body are being met while protecting ministry of prayer and the Word from being overrun by other problems.

Every ministry of our church should be overseen and administered by qualified elders and deacons. There is no ministry outside of their purview that is to operate independently or detached from their oversight.
