The Church belongs to Jesus, therefore, His Word is our Authority. We labor to understand and apply His Word without compromise in every area of Church life (Ephesians 1:22; 5:23-24).

Christ has delegated authority to a plurality of qualified Elders who shepherd the Church to submit to the Word of Christ in everything. They are to handle this authority with gentleness and sincerity for the glory of God and the good of the flock. They must rightly divide the Word, and teach it with authority and conviction without compromise even if they must suffer for it. They must labor to teach the full counsel of God, withholding nothing that would edify.

Elders are called to keep a close watch on themselves, their doctrine, and on each other. This is to protect the flock from those who seek to take advantage.

Deacons are delegated authority by the elders to oversee the logistical needs of the Church.

The office of elder (overseer, pastor, bishop) is held only by qualified men. Women may take leadership roles in teaching other women, however, the leadership of the Church must only be held by men of exemplary character.

The members of the local are called to submit to the Elders of their local church. That means the follow their lead for how the Church is handled.
